Review: [RGB-019] Intimate Sex So Good You Can Feel It Through Your Skin vol. 3 (Kishi Aino, Nozomi Mayu, Akiyama Shoko, JULIA, Mizusaki Karen, Kojima Minami, Kozai Saki, Minato Riko)

Porn is a thing usually seen as something only men consume. Over time, as people have become more open, this stereotype has become shattered to some degree. Now porn is recognized as something consumed by many people, gender irrelevant.

Despite this, a lot of mainstream porn is produced largely for men. Personally I don’t see it as an issue, just as a discouraging aspect of being an avid porn consumer. Luckily, there are mainstream AV studios who make content intended for women audiences! While there could stand to be more variety than just love stories and mushy gushy sex (though I am very fond of both and will adore such AV until the end of time), it’s very admirable to see studios creating content for women… even some, like Girls CH, catering exclusively to females; after all, don’t we need some quality material to go with our alone time, too?

Today’s AV is refreshing in that not only is it a more intimate style of porn, but it also lacks the love story/usually flowery element of “for women” porn. That said, how does this AV with its 15 minute (yes, you read that right!) runtime fare compared to the longer, movie style titles?

Despite the title of the AV, the sex featured in this isn’t of the romantic variety. Intimate, it is, though; I was admittedly kind of disappointed that the sexual content wasn’t romance oriented, but that’s just my personal preference. That said, the fact that the sex isn’t romantic is supremely refreshing considering the genre this movie is. The scenes in Intimate Sex Vol. 3 are very sexy and intense, though not in a scary way. There isn’t any crazy jackhammer thrusting to be found here; thrusts can be a bit fast and hard, but it looks very natural and I wasn’t off put or worried the girl was in pain once throughout which is a rarity for me. I loved seeing the sweaty sex in some of the scenes. Talk about erotic! Also, it’s worth noting this video doesn’t attempt to hide the genitalia in a clever, softcore way (only in some parts of scenes, but it never felt annoying) which I deeply appreciated: I enjoy the sight of genitalia so long as it’s not the only focus of the cinematography. It’s very clear each person is having a good time! Another point worth mentioning is there is a decent smattering of clit play in this AV (color me pleasantly surprised when I first saw that!), so if that’s your thing, you will love this. Especially the final moment of the final scene. Damn.

Speaking of the cinematography, it looked very crisp and clear throughout. I don’t have any complaints about the camera work at all; the balance between genital and full body focus is well done, and the genital shots never once felt uncomfortable or intrusive.

The actresses were super cute, but I’m not too familiar with them and they didn’t make any particular impression on me, so sadly that’s about all I can say about the actresses.

As good as those aforementioned aspects are, this AV definitely has its faults.

The editing is a bit of a mess. Scenes abruptly change angles and positions without much continuity and it’s kind of frustrating. Due to this lack of fluidity in the editing, the scenes feel very choppy. They’re still hot, don’t get me wrong, but I wish they flowed more seamlessly.

Not only is the editing a mess, but remember that 15 minute runtime I mentioned at the start of the review? Not only are the scenes sloppily put together, but they don’t last long enough to get a lot out of each scene. I did, erm, enjoy the scenes, it’s just… they left me wanting more. Add onto that the abrupt ending (it cuts from really hot sex to a screen with “END” on it) and I have no idea how I’m supposed to feel about this AV.

On one hand, I love, love, LOVE what this AV contains, how adorable the actresses were, the intimacy of everything, the dreamy cinematography that looks so clean… but with such a short runtime containing lazy and confusing editing with no real flow to it, not to mention the sudden ending, I feel hungry for more than I got. For the asking price of 150 yen (~$1.46), you could do far, far worse, but there was also so much to be desired that I’m not sure I could recommend this AV as readily as other titles, especially when there’s longer, better put together content out there for a much longer, more satisfying runtime (not to mention, a more satisfying experience).
